Description

“Vampire The Masquerade; the return of Caine” is my comic book based on the Vampire the Masquerade/ World of Darkness universe.

Warning: blood, gore, violence, potential sexual contexts.
Short: Biblical Caine (The first and most powerful vampire in the world) returns after 3000 years of slumber to execute his plans. He’s aims and goals? Unknown and locked only within his deceptive mind will unravel before you In this four episode series I plan to make.

This is amateur/fan comic book so the graphics quality is questionable (or at least in the first 20 pages in my opinion).

You know, there is a subject matter I haven't seen you discuss much and perhaps you should since it it is a center piece of much of the horror of Vampire: The Masquerade which is the blood chains.

Remember when Bloodlines said "Wherever we go, it is the blood of Caine that decides our fate."? That was not a metaphor or exageration but the most literal truth. The blood passed down through the generations of Kindred is a chain that the ancients use to control their childer. For instance, in the Lasombra trilogy Monçada, the Lasombra Antediluvian's very first child, remarks that while his sire could command the absolute obedience of any Lasombra through the blood, he can't. But he can, and does, send suggestions to all his descendants that makes them act in the way he wishes them to to while they think those were their own ideas.

And this is one of the main horror themes in VTM.
First, how can we tell if our actions are our own or if our every thought was planted there by an Ancient? Victoria As of clan Toreador was obssessed with this and introduced an extremely complex structure of happenstances upon which she based all her decisions. For instance, the manner in which a mortal enters through a door. If he enters through the right, she does something, left, she does something else. And she failed. She was still being controlled.

Second, how can vampires determine if any love or affection they feel is real or being commanded through Presence or the Blood Bond?

Now, there are ways of breaking the Bond. Lugoj Blood Breaker dabbled in demonology which allowed the Tzimisce to break the bond with their Elders and form the Sabbat. So, it's not inconceivable the Antediluvians would have done the same before killing the Second Generation.

Something to keep in mind.
